"All of the Above"! Why? One can be made to "To Show Respect to another's Rank" but True R E S P E C T is earned and Just like anything else (or anyone else) there are some "so so" SNCOs, Officers, and Warrants. Well there used to be, maybe they are all Dedicate Professionals now. So I need a 4th choice. "All of the Above"

I think that there is a belief that warrant officers are specialized experts in their fields, which only comes from years of service.

Warrant Officers are afforded the opportunity to be the honest broker. They usually don't have to worry about consequence for speaking the hard truth to the CDR's.

There is not a clear line, I would almost say SRNCO's except I know a few dirtbags and have no idea how they made their rank, met some lazy warrants, and dealt with dumb Officers, but I also have amazing mentors in all three! So although I respect the rank no matter what, but to respect the person? That only comes with knowledge, leadership skills, and morals.

I entered the Air Force just as they were eliminating WOs. The few WOs I encountered in my 14+ years were ALL highly respected. Beyond that I saw good and not so goo with all. Those that earned respect usually got a lot of it.

I depends on the person and how they handle themselves, lead their subordinates, and what career accomplishments that have attained.

The ones that earn your respect by being the leaders that they should be.

Those with rank will be listened to and obeyed because that is what has to be done, actual respect come from doing the job properly and showing respect for others and in turn people will follow them not because they have to but because they respect them and want to and go that extra mile beyond what is expected.
