With the recent amount of stolen valor it is hard to keep up with all the different threads being posted here on RallyPoint. From this point forward if you have a stolen valor question, comment, and or post, then add it here. The posts that currently exist will stay, as we don't want to lose the already existing discussion content. If you have started a stolen valor post prior to this and wish to have it merged to this one then feel free to let me know and I will merge that for you. The initial post will be gone but the discussion content will be merged to this posting.

We see it everywhere all the time. Depending on the degree they are subject to prosecution but exposing is about the best we can do

If you're going to fake it do your homework because we are professionals that know our business. That includes wearing the uniform. I'm USAF so I'd have to say it's a heck of a lot easier to fake Air Force than Army. My son-in-law is US Marines and US Army and I admire his uniforms. All well-placed accouterments look sharp. Me? I usually wear my flight suit and zip up. The sunglasses are a definite no-no. I chastised an NCO once for mirrored glasses. Had to pull his ID since he gave me lip. Anyway, this guy being a fake, why chance it. Embarrassment and having the likelihood of getting your chops busted is not worth it. What a DA!

I feel that impersonating an active duty or military veteran should be against the law and punishable by prison time at Ft. Leavenworth. I did not spend 10+ years of my life shedding my blood, endangering my life and way too many other things for sick people like this to be mistakenly honored for something they never did. And I am being calm about I would really like to do some really bad things to people who fake being in the military.
