With the recent amount of stolen valor it is hard to keep up with all the different threads being posted here on RallyPoint. From this point forward if you have a stolen valor question, comment, and or post, then add it here. The posts that currently exist will stay, as we don't want to lose the already existing discussion content. If you have started a stolen valor post prior to this and wish to have it merged to this one then feel free to let me know and I will merge that for you. The initial post will be gone but the discussion content will be merged to this posting.

I think there is a definite distinction between what your friends are doing and people out there making claims for personal gain or notoriety. Wearing real life patches is a touchy subject especially Ranger or SF tabs or skill badges but so long as its only on the paintball course and not out in public for a beer, if it were me I'd let it slide, but others may not be as forgiving, and I wouldn't blame them.

PFC (Join to see)
Roger that Major. I used to wear a Ranger Tab before I joined. I got set straight. I've warned them against wearing the patches. I'm cool with a flag or your name. But when it's 101st or 1st I/D and Ranger/SF or Airborne and Combat Infantry badges, I lose my shit about it sometimes. Thanks for the suggestions Major.

His unit pins arn't on his shoulders, he has a infantry cord but no infantry disc's, his name plate isnt centered and most importantly most infantry has a hell of alot more ribbons than that especially for someone who claims to have been in for atleast 30 yrs, what a joke, If your going to impersonate then take the time to get the uniform right and stop making us current and also veterans look less than what we are! hooah!

I don't get it? If you were to want to be a poser, everything you need to know is at your finger tips. I'm proud to have done a job that people admire and want to be. But people don't understand that it is disrespectful to our Brothers & Sisters who have died for our country. I know I get more upset when I see real military who do not respect our dress, it makes us look bad.
