The military is a largely diverse organization. Did joining the military change your perspective of the world?

It absolutely did. Joined Marines and poof instant diversity. Found out that while we are all different, we all bleed green. Got to see all different parts of the world, and realize just how great we have it in the USA. Now, if we can only keep it.....

No it just reaffirmed by belief that the color of the skin did not matter. What mattered was what was in the heart.

Being in the military and being raised as a military dependent was and continues to be a unique perspective and I thank my parents for being open minded and allowing me to see things in my own eyes. As for the world and the small part I have had the pleasure of both living in and visiting it is vast in size and thought.

Thank you for your candid response. I did not grow up in a diverse area and can see how different my children are growing up. Their exposure to different cultures and environments has helped them become well rounded.

CPT (Join to see) your welcome my Son although at times was challenging to raise yet I feel being a Military dependent has set him up for success as he pursues his dreams.
