What are your thoughts on these videos or articles that typically are click bait or just hype over military affairs like what you'd see on youtube or new outlets. Are they devoid of any meaning thought, do some or many hold useful analysis, or tailored for 12 year old chairborne rangers?

I want their advertising to be as diverse as possible to attract many different types of serviceman as possible. I want them to appeal to men and women, gay and straight, jock and nerd, every race, etc. Why? Because we need the best of the best. I want the most competent people to fill those jobs and have lots of unique friends to enjoy my military career with PV2 (Join to see) SFC Jim Ruether COL Mikel J. Burroughs Lt Col Charlie Brown SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Sgt Randy Wilber TSgt Joe C. SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL PO3 John Wagner SSgt Addison R. PFC (Join to see) SPC Margaret Higgins When I look at all the people I come across in a military career, I am so grateful to know all of them. I also want to know even more people like them. The only way that could happen is if the military opens up their mind to appealing to more demographics. What makes a great serviceman is love of the country, courage, discipline and honour. Surely, those are morals that transcend the barriers we place between each other. #MilitaryFamily

And there are so so many of the best of best of best in the more abused categories of people out there.. Don't know how to go about reaching out properly but it can be done.

We do need to appeal to lots of different people as long as they are able to do what is required. We need a cross section of America. We are in danger of becoming a "military caste" So many that I know who are serving now, had parents who served while the majority of Americans have not had anyone serve since Korea or perhaps even WWII

I guess I view them as an important recruiting tool and a waste of defense money. If you educate them as to the opportunities available to them after they serve and the proper transition teams are in place to recruit and hire these individuals they might give it some thought. If these ads are all oo-rah and no content then that type of person is all you will attract.
