SSG Pete Fleming Not just a singe goof, but an entire production. Jerry Lewis in "Don't Give Up the Ship" was a travesty from beginning to the end (5 minutes after it came on the channel). Hollywood hasn't been the best of friends to the military.

With few exceptions Hollywood isn't a fan of the military, yet they make millions, perhaps billions, off of war films...

Hunt for Red October had so many mistakes in it. The whole crew went to go see this movie we mostly laughed and said B***s**t to a lot of it as well.

According to Hollywood all Marines assigned to embassies don't know how to shoot or fight. Oh, and they wear covers that are 2 sizes too large.

This one hits home for me as well. As a former MSG I always notice how bad the movies portray them. First off, the movie shows Marines standing all around the embassy before anything ever happens instead of the one or two that would actually be on duty at any given time. Then once something does happen, 100 Marines immediately come out of a door in full battle rattle ready to go. The largest embassies only have 20ish Marines and the ones that aren't on duty or about to go on duty are very likely nowhere near the embassy. Sometimes it would take hours to get everyone back in from wherever they were.

The tank scenes in Courage Under Fire. There isn't even a brow pad on the Samwise Gamgee's sight and he can't possibly know what he's shooting at.

I don't have one. Just watch movies for entertainment. Movie is over, I'm done. Its what Hellwood, I mean Hollywood does.

My wife loved this show. I tried to explain that the possibility of a Post Commanding General's wife, a female LTC, and 3 enlisted wives all being best of friends, forget knowing about each other's private lives was absurd. Never happen.

Any movie dealing with Army CID. I have yet to see a movie which depicts how CID actually functions. I was a CID Agent for a number of years and finished my active duty career as an Instructor at the MP School teaching numerous subjects to CID, MPI, Officer Basic, Officer Advanced, and CID Warrant Officer Courses. Two of the most outlandish movies were Persidio (sic) and The General's Daughter. I suppose it is even worse now that CID is back under the Provost Marshal General. CID was made a stove pipe organization, answering to the Sec. Army, for a reason.

I was able to get through the first 2 minutes of "The General's Daughter" before I had to shut it off. Horrible.
