Some stuff in the M.A.S.H. programs.. there were some poles set up but in the background a high tension power pole..
Watched that rerun again at a later date but They must of caught it and put a fake tree in front of it..

Using the wrong radios for the communications they need. IE using VHF instead of Satellite systems.

They stopped irritating me as much when I was told that Hollywood intentionally messes things up so as not to be accused of impersonating the actual military, but....the ammunition thing is definitely one for me. I've seen TV shows where a 9mm Glock pistol fires 30+ rounds and then reloads once and runs out of ammo 4 rounds later.

That is a misconception. Hollywood doesn't purposely make uniform mistakes. They make them because they either don't know any better or are too lazy to research and do it properly. It isn't impersonating a soldier when it is done for entertainment... it is when you do for stolen valor or to try to spy or something like that. But dressing up for Halloween or in a movie isn't illegal.

SSG Pete Fleming - It's actually not a misconception. I was stationed at the NAS where NCIS films when they want to pretend they're at Patuxent River, and whenever someone on base corrects the uniforms they're told that it's intentional.

PO3 Christopher Jonah Nelson - It is intentional, but because of some false law, it is lazy or done for 'creative purposes' but there is no law against it for entertainment (in movies, TV shows, Commercials, etc.)

Recently Social Media Facebook has numerous scamsters posing as General Officers and they are attempting to scam women in giving up their CC numbers as they scam them and tell them that they want to marry them. It's al male scam artists.
I usually go to FB Mgmt and report and block the scamsters.

I just watched War Machine with Brad Pitt last night and there were some long haired officers in that movie. Brad Pitt's hair was borderline but probably out of reg, and there was one scene where they showed a LT ( I think) in mess dress with sideburns down the bottom of his ears and pretty bush hair.
