what is your favorite smoothie recipe after you workout?

After a good workout, I crave a fruit smoothie. Juice, fruit, maybe some protein powder. I don't know if it is counter productive, but it's better than eating nothing or eating junk. What are some of your favorite smoothie combinations or post-workout drinks?

2 Handfuls Spinach
¼ Grapefruit
1 Orange
3 Strawberries
¼ Cup Raspberries
1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
1 Cup Water
1/2 to 1 cup ice (depends on how much texture you want)

Greek Liquor, Black Licorice Flavor Clear in appearance. One of my Favorite Drinks with or without anything else. Since it was originally made with Poppies, It is frowned upon in that form in this country but you can get some excellent German and Mexican made Ouzo in this Country.

Post-workout, your body naturally craves healthy foods for protein synthesis and other science blue-bliffy. Real food is the best at any time, but who here can always tell the difference between natural and GMO products? To the point, I drink almond milk and [strive to have a] have a decent meal.

TSgt Melissa Post - Try just juice, toast, or cereal in the AM & lots of fresh fruit and vegies at noon and stay away from red meat & diary. I know it sounds like cruel and unusual punishment for you; but will thank me in 90 days when you notice how better you feel...BTW no charge from my advice you qualify for a 100% discount Ma'am.

Spinach, banana's, berries with mango juice. I pack about two cups of spinach, 1/2 banana, cup frozen mixed berries and about a cup of mango juice (give or take how thick I want it). I throw it in my Ninja smoothie mixer and the concoction blends well. It's very green but can hardly taste the spinach in it. I use to put a whole banana but have reduced it to a half only because I didn't want to only taste banana.

If I'm doing a long run in the morning I like to make overnight oats with bananas and eat them after the run. I've gotten to the point where I crave this little meal after any sort of cardio. I usually just have 2 scoops of whey protein with milk after I hit the gym. If you add strawberries or really any sweet fruit to a protein shake it's really not that detrimental and can help with the sweet tooth. I find that adding milk to my protein makes it super sweet, and that's where I get my sweet fix normally. And ice cream on cheat days. ;)

I have seen that overnight oat stuff, haven't been brave enough to try it yet though. I have mixed protein powder with just milk, it feels like i'm breaking the rules haha. mmmm ice cream. when I am on a diet, I don't allow cheat days, because I will come up with reasons for why "that day didn't count for my cheat day because..." then my cheat days turn into cheat weeks, and end my diet. lol I know i'm sooo weak.
