What party or individual do you plan to vote for during these midterm elections? Why? What are the pros and cons for your selection?

I am undecided about who to vote for in the upcoming mid-term elections at the local, state and federal level and both Congressional or Legislative and gubernatorial. I am interested in understanding the political climate for the elections held later this year. Support your reasons for casting your ballot with fact.

I am a conservative Republican CPT (Join to see). In Virginia on June 12, 2018 there is a primary election for Repu8blicans and Democrats.
I plan on voting for E.W. Jackson to be the U.S Senator to replace Tim Kaine.
I am not certain who i will vote for the 10th VA district congressperson. The incumbent is Barbara Comstock and Shak Hill is vying to replace her. I now both of these candidates and I will try to vote strategically. In any event I will vote for the whoever secures the Republican nomination in both races.
BTW in Virginia we have elections every year - Federal elections in even years and Virginia state and local elections in odd years.

MSG Stan Hutchison - I think I'll keep my own counsel on that one. I used to think I was a democrat until I woke up and realized that those folks do not represent my interests, wether they be financial, moral, or ethical. I voted for our first half white half black president twice.
Far too late I realized I should have spell checked people's opinion..
They were actually saying half whit all along.

MSG Stan Hutchison - Barrack...OMG Hussein ... Obama was nothing more than a straw man and shill for the socialist new world order Left whose literal stated goal is to see the financial ruin of the United States.
Utterly out of his depth and absolutely unqualified for the office.
That didn't matter to him I assure you. He knew his position in the grand scheme of things long before taking the oath of office..Obama and Oath's only similarity is sharing two of the same letters.
I can't say what possible use that any employed citizen can have for the Democratic Party except that they promote agendas which huge tracts of the population... including many of their voters.. find abhorrent.
I applaud the democrats for their continued obstructionism. It has become so foolish and out of hand that the Republicans scarce need to lift a finger to show the ridiculous nature of it. Even the media schills can only do so much with a party whose old divisive identity politics finally ran into a brick wall.... or a bathroom door would be more accurate.
How will they whip up more faux outrage and frenzy about social injustice?
The answer is they cannot.
The endless investigation has absolutely worn out. They aren't going to be able to use a pussy trap on Trump.
The utter profligacy which has characterized the use of any and all ammunition in continuing obstruction efforts has left the Democrats with little more than pea blowers and rubber bands in the moral armory.

Many people argue against voting a straight ticket, but most probably do. I cannot envisions most of the conservatives on RP every voting for a liberal, and vice-versa. I would vote for a liberal Republican, but have never seen one.
So, futile as it is here in South Dakota, I will vote Democrat.

I appreciate your comment. What's bothersome is that individuals in the center or who may be moderate in their views become the political diving board for neo-conservatives and neo-liberals holding office. Once individuals holding office move to the right or the left, the center becomes part of the opposition. I cannot tell whether it is by default or design.
