What really inspires your drive and self-motivation today, this week, or this year?

What is your self-motivation that is driving your aspirations each day?
What makes you get up execited and inspired each day?
What goals have you set to achieve this year that are inspiring you?
What individual or job is inspiring and driving you today, this week, or this year?

Kind of like the movie Trading Places. Is it genetic or environment? COL Mikel J. Burroughs could play one of the Duke brothers.

I have 2 goals this year number one is to spend at least one week a month fishing. The second goal is a first place medal for long range shooting to go with the second place medals . I am a firm believer that the impossible just takes a little longer so the sooner you get started the sooner it will get done.

Trying to live the Army values, my personal and religious code of character and make my mother, father and whole family proud are what drive me. In a world where seemingly everything is negotiable, living righteously is a true struggle that requires discipline, determination and dedication!

My faith in God gives me the drive to live, as well as my devoted wife who gives me strength in times when the PTSD acts up. SHe has been through a lot with me and she stays by my side. My God and my wife are my rock and strength. My current goal is to get this job through my State's Department of Veteran Affairs to help my fellow veterans get the help and benefits that they need and deserve.

Making progress in my life and career motivates me to continue.
Is it easy?...NO
But then I think of the people I impact in a positive way and that outweighs the negative thoughts.

Five Questions:
1. It is the example of hope Jesus gave.
2. It is through prayer and vision.
3. Believing in God, knowing he hears my prayers.
4. To preach the Gospel.
5. The job of serving God in the example of Christ and the 12.

The fact I got to get up and take care of my customers. I work for myself. Some days I really don't feel like getting out and doing it. But then I look at the fact I have a wife, place, animals and if I don't get out and do it, then it won't get done. So I get up, make the cup of coffee, do my morning routine and get to work. Usually after I'm to my first place, I'm kicked in and away it goes. It's all about that life long thing my Dad taught me when I was knee high to a grasshopper - You got to learn how to work!

You know that is a true statement: You got to learn how to work!! I find my self explaining: You have to learn how to study! as I am encouraging others to complete highschool and college.

1LT (Join to see) - It was a phrase my Dad told me when I was about 5yrs old. I didn't really understand what he meant, but later on it was clear what he meant: get up every morning, standards, service, caring, get to work on time, so many things .

Wow, Dad's.
I was on my own at 12.5 years of age.
Dad was a Marine at Paris Island, Drill Sgt and then Senior Drill.
He was hard.
You are so true on the "fully understanding" of his teachings.
I always tease my basic training lasted from the times I was 5 to 11!
It was my turning to this "God" - reading the Bible (Jesus) leading me to understand more! This turning to the doctrines of God through Jesus Christ made the most profound understanding. I have learned reading the scriptures, New Testatment, is for the rest of my life, Just as: Get up every morning, standards, service, caring, get to work on time!!! : 0 ) So many things!!!
Peace.

My drive is inspired by my grandson, a young man that I hope will one day go to college, and maybe become an officer in one of the branches of the military.
