What's a tasteful military ball gown?

If that was my unit's function that couple would be asked to leave prior to even reaching the receiving line, I don't care what rank the husband is, completely unacceptable.
Before military formal functions I always give a LPD on etiquette to ensure this and things like this do not occur. I have seen some borderline gowns but never something to this extreme.

Each installation has a set standard on how we are to dress. I had to tell a woman at the one mile track who had a bikini top on running to put a shirt on. Please note this track was being utilized by a nearby school's track team. The issue was not because she was arguing with me but because she stated no told her the day prior when she and her friends did it. If we as leaders do not speak up, this act will continue to escalate and dates will eventually go to the far extremes to see what type or dress attire they can get away with.

The ball is an formal event not a high school gonna get laid prom. People should dress respectfully.

Thank you SGT Scott Bailey but you wouldn't catch me in something like that, Lol. I really hate dresses and if I had to wear one, it would have a lot more cloth on it. ;-)

I don't really think it matters which dress you wear. I think you would look beautiful in anything you wear SGT. I'm not flirting, I am just stating a fact. I hope you have a nice weekend.

CH (MAJ) William Beaver I guess the rank doesn't tell how your spouse should dress for a ball. They should learn from the Private's wife (insert bragging here). Kind of like the examples CMSgt (Join to see) uploaded.

SGT (Join to see) - Showing off too much cleavage? Do you understand the struggles big breasted women face on a daily basis? Please know that even turtlenecks are revealing, I know first hand with my 36DD cup. Doesn't matter what I wear, I ALWAYS have cleavage.

SFC (Join to see) I would be interested in the reason for the down vote.... is it retribution for your down vote for inappropriate comments to my pictures? Feeling butt hurt? or do you have a valid reason for the down vote for my attempt at showing the younger troops that both spouses and dependent children can have appropriate wear? I would be interested in knowing your thought processes.

Maj. Nelson I wasn't knocking your family picture, I was knocking the original post thread, which is where my comment went. My observation is that dependents put the soldiers judgment in jeopardy. Before think you have chewed someone's ass, look at the facts, don't read into them. If you would like to attempt to chew my ass in person, message me and we will see what can be arraigned. Below you will see the pictures I was commenting on. Looking forward to your rebuttal.

Thank you for your reply. I felt that your comments would have been appropriate for the original thread (new comment to the original photo). But placing it inside the sub-thread of the photos of my family seemed lend it not to the original photo, but the ones that I had contributed.

^^NOT that, Sir. :\
I realize that we all have our own styles and that class cannot be purchased, but wow! This is definitely inappropriate in my opinion.
I am a big fan of classic and timeless, a la Audrey Hepburn. Being elegant does not mean being dowdy. Cannot go wrong with black! :)

CMSgt (Join to see) I also got a downvote in my pic with my wife because "rank doesn't have anything to do with how you dress". Exactly what I was pointing with the pic.

She has great legs. And yes, I am a lady admiring another's fit physique. That dress is wack.

Trashy. She has absolutely no respect for the tradition. Does the whole world have to know you're not wearing any underwear?

Definitely captures the tanker's ethos perfectly, except the outfit should be yellow.
