What's a tasteful military ball gown?

This was the gown my date wore to my last Marine Corps Ball. Conservative and appropriate while still being sexy.

After 25 years, and multiple black tie affairs, I've seen a steady degradation in the attire of wives and girlfriends of Marines. I think it goes back to the saying "you can take the trash out of the trailer, but you can't take the trailer out of the trash". Not bashing EVERYONE that lived in or live in trailers, but you get what I mean.

An appropriate dress covers all the naughty bits(completely). If you want it to be a little sexy, perhaps one that slits no further up than just above the knee. Besides, some sort of nylons should go under a dress that shows your legs. No matter what, the person you take shows a lot about who you are as a person.

I know I am late to this one. I have seen that photo before.

"Conservative" is the word that comes to mind. My wife, also (although she did not sign up for it) had a duty to model what right looks like. Like CSM (Join to see) said, if that was my ball, I would have asked them to leave.

I actually have many photos, from many, many (too many) balls, but this is my favorite I could locate. Sorry that I messed it up by being in it.

I think she looks sexy......mind you I was never allowed to attend formals because of my drunken states and fondness for debauchery. PS formals were crap anyway. I always ended up at a titty bar
