CPO Gregory Smith
I was a Black Lion back in '93. E Co. 2/28. Got to take part in the decommissioning ceremony. I see they stood the battalion back up for the Iraq war.

CPO Gregory Smith - It was my privilege to serve in 1st Battle Group, 28th during the Pentomic era. When 1st ID reorganized to ROAD (Battle Groups to Battalions) in 1964, I ended up in 2/28. 2nd Battalion has been deactivated & reactivated several times of the years. It's currently inactive. Hard to understand but 1/28th Infantry is now in 3rd ID. Black Lions forever!

Quill and Bolt. Also, my Shellback Certificate. Thing's saved my ass more times over the last 20 years than I can count.

Air Weather service. A little blurry, but I like the stripes for Senior Airman. Oddly enough, I was one on those who got to the rank of E-4 SGT. But yea, I was at Rhein Main.

In 1968 I walked into the U.S. Army recruiters office and enlisted for three years of active duty to pick my MOS 95B which was military police at that time. After graduating from BCT at Fort Benning I arrived at Fort Gordon for my MP AIT. I actually enjoyed the 8 weeks of MP training and the classroom instruction on military law enforcement. The military police cross pistols with the "assist , protect , defend" motto. The MP arm brassard and duty white hat.

SGT (Join to see) - There are a few of us MPs here on RallyPoint.
Always good to see another MP with the rest of us on the RP site.
