So this CSM from the the 8th MP BDE seems to be out of regulations. From the comments she has been corrected but she claims she is being harassed. I don't even understand how she got to be a CSM at a BDE. What COL out there is letting this happen? In one of the photos she is wearing stilettos in uniform. WTF? What kind of example is this. The worst is from a Facebook user that said:

"This one!!!! Holy **** she was in charge of us in Afghanistan!! I could go on and on about this toxic leader!! Trying to maintain professionalism but this one.....when a CSM so jacked up like this, she was laughing her ass off during our rehearsal of my brothers ceremony after he was killed in Afghanistan, she f***ing yelled at me because I "took too long saying my goodbye " as I'm f***ing crying kneeling in front of it. This post will probably get me in trouble, and ruin the rest of my army career as well as my day and my army experience."

What would you do if you were there? What if you were on command?

What should the Army do about this?

(Thanks to Army MP WTF Moments and it's followers for the photos.)

**************UPDATE************************
The 8th Theater Sustainment Command CSM will be travelling to the 8th MP BDE to have some one on one time with this CSM. It is amazing as leaders will do when they are being called out. He should have done that a long time ago.

The army has become to political and it's killing our troops by putting people like this in charge who only care about their career and nothing else that's sad

"We are aware of your concerns about the 8th Military Police Brigade leadership. Social Media is not the appropriate venue to voice concerns. There are reporting mechanisms within the brigade and above the brigade for such concerns. This page is meant to share accomplishments and operations of the Soldiers with family members and the public. As comments have been overwhelmingly disrespectful, degrading and unprofessional we will block and delete anyone in violation of the DoD social media policy that can be found in the about section of this page under general information."

This nonsense was 8th MP Bde's canned answer (on FB) to this whole debacle. After many, many complaints had come about on the CSM's appearance and behavior, this is how they respond. And don't get me started on the so-called "apology" she posted, if it can be called that. What is truly "overwhelmingly disrespectful" is the fact that she has been allowed to carry on unchecked.

Good posting, I do think Social Media has it pluses as this site, to post concerns that effect many in the general population of this type, as this case, it had a large community brush. Yes, there will always be kind, understanding and disrespectful remarks. Being human has its drawbacks and some get swatted by the RP admin filter. Voices by meany with different opinions make interesting forums and have proven great value with views that may not have surfaced if the violator's citation was just handed off to a judge, penalty, executioner under one hat, (Roy Bean). Her 'apology' may not have been as healthy as many active and veterans would agree but maybe she has learned, pushing the hair envelope has its limits, back peddling was not a bad idea than try bantering the way to justification.

Well, there can only be one set of standards for one's uniform and personal appearance and grooming, and I think for the Army those standards are found in AR 670-1. Everyone in the Army is subject to those standards, without exception of rank or gender or anything else. If there is any variance or any "slack" granted due to specific personalities or politics, then down that path lies disorder and indiscipline and chaos. If we all do not conform and meet standards, then we no longer have an Army. Anyone who puts their own ego above the standards of the force must either return and conform to the standard, or must be eliminated from the force. This has nothing to do with culture or race or ethnicity; we have one Army with one set of standards, and when we start to create exceptions to those standards, we sow the seeds of future confusion, defeat and (ultimately) death for our soldiers. No individual's ego is more important than the lives of our soldiers.

Bad stuff. Leaders need to lead and stand tall and so respect in order to garner the same. Any failure to do so should be addressed and the lack of leadership by the leader admonished and perhaps call for a change. There is no basis for a harassment complaint if the leader does no possess the skills to lead no shows the respect for the soldiers to be led or lack of respect the leader is to show for the rank he or she possesses. No person should joke about any event for a fallen soldier or to impune s member of the fallen soldier's family or anyone for showing emotion towards the fallen. I feel sympathy for you and the CSM failures should be adreesed. RIP to your brother.

And Female leaders like this give the rest of us a bad name.
Why do females like this get promoted to CSM and females that are good leaders don't?

I think your question applies to many "leaders" of both genders and sadly it's b/c of outside influence rather than actual ability

Wow, I hope that someone corrects her and her attitude real soon. She is an embarrassment to that whole Brigade. For all that she has accomplished I would hate for her to ruin all that by acting like she has retired on AD.

This retired SSG would have talked to her about her hair. Wrong is wrong no matter the rank, and we are "supposed" to take care of each other, especially squared away in uniform. Men are afraid to tell her, and she might seem unapproachable to some. Better than that, everybody deployed has a weapon and she might have lost her mind.

Two more things, the average man is not going to say anything to her out of fear, because she can cry that she is being targeted because she is a woman, and pull the "sexual harrassment card. Lastly, is she Active, Guard, or Reserves? Her status makes a big difference.

She is regular Army. She has been approached many times but then she attacks those that correct her. When that happens they back away out of fear of an EO or Sharp complaint.

One of the best fellow officers in one of my intelligence units in Germany was a woman and she did all of her fellow male officers in our unit an ENORMOUS favor. Linda created a guide for junior leaders, based on the regulations, that clearly displayed the standards and limits of appearance, grooming, hairstyle and jewelry for our female soldiers. She said she had gotten annoyed at watching us get buffaloed and bamboozled by our female soldiers not meeting standards. Linda was a great soldier, and the unit's standards noticeably improved after she briefed the commander and he okayed the distribution of her guide. But for that kind of thing to work, everyone has to abide by the same standards, and that means everyone...

Shame is not harsh enough! Any leader who doesn't put the needs of his/her soldiers above their own is a DISGRACE! I don't care the race or sex of a leader; enough with the BS going on in today's Military. Know the Example, Be the Example, Lead by Example! If not get out before you get someone's 'Loved One' injured or killed!

Apparently SMA Dailey's mantra of "Arguably, the highest performing squads in our formation are those that are built upon trust: trust in their leaders, and trust in one another. This is the essential element of 'Not In My Squad'." isn't being followed. As veterans we continually hear stories of how toxic the NCO Corp has become throughout the Army. This needs to stop ASAP!!! Someone please cowboy the fuck up and straighten this cluster fuck out!!!
