So this CSM from the the 8th MP BDE seems to be out of regulations. From the comments she has been corrected but she claims she is being harassed. I don't even understand how she got to be a CSM at a BDE. What COL out there is letting this happen? In one of the photos she is wearing stilettos in uniform. WTF? What kind of example is this. The worst is from a Facebook user that said:

"This one!!!! Holy **** she was in charge of us in Afghanistan!! I could go on and on about this toxic leader!! Trying to maintain professionalism but this one.....when a CSM so jacked up like this, she was laughing her ass off during our rehearsal of my brothers ceremony after he was killed in Afghanistan, she f***ing yelled at me because I "took too long saying my goodbye " as I'm f***ing crying kneeling in front of it. This post will probably get me in trouble, and ruin the rest of my army career as well as my day and my army experience."

What would you do if you were there? What if you were on command?

What should the Army do about this?

**************UPDATE************************
The 8th Theater Sustainment Command CSM will be travelling to the 8th MP BDE to have some one on one time with this CSM. It is amazing as leaders will do when they are being called out. He should have done that a long time ago.

Her former leaders obviously were afraid of harrassment charges, so they pushed her through. She should have never made it past E4

While she could obviously use a block of instruction about leading by example, there really isn't a lot that you can do. Point out her flaws in a diplomatic fashion and relay your concerns to your chain of command. As much as we might wish otherwise the Army is still riddled with toxic leaders who got to their positions primarily through strategic a$$kissing. When I have been in that situation I focused primarily on looking out for my soldiers and making sure they don't catch all the toxic crap rolling downhill.

It's a shame that the standards has fallen like this. This is happening all over the military. Because people want to see women combat arms. Not saying they can't. Just saying we need to take it slow. Starting with the PT test on standard for both man and female. Instead of trying to send people to ranger school that can't do pt on the same level.

On the spot corrections everyday until they get tired of hearing it. All of the Senior NCOs should be making those corrections to include the officers

That can work depending on who's doing it, but if everybody is doing it to this individual all that does is create animosity in the long run and creates more resistance. I say a better way is to hit a person via pay check deduction that way the human emotion and ego is not involved. You hit person in their pockets they will learn . I think only certain individuals within each unit should be allowed to check people on their grooming standards. I think a unit should assign five people to a unit to be the grooming police, and to help with catching people install a computer and security system that only observes soldiers grooming violations. Once violators are caught, a ticket will be issued for pay deductions that way the human emotion and ego is not involved.

I served three duty airborne duty assignments with McGlen Odom: he's one of my best friends. He would have nuked her, regardless of rank. As an NCO you are charged with enforcing standards. One thing Odom was not shy with was Courage. I've seen him, on numerous occasions, correct deficiencies on those in which he was subordinate in rank. People need to grab their sack, man up, and do their fucking job!

I will tell you why this happened. She is a black female. In today’s world we go more by “we need a minority ie. female/black female in a leadership position” rather than demonstrated ability. No I’m not racist or sexist. There are some fine leaders in our military that are black/female or both.

She is affront to all the SGM's who came before her both men and women SGM's who cared for her troops. Harrassment, my eye, if she can't do her job, RETIRE!!!

From this point down everything goes to hell in a basket and I think you are correct, her CO doesn't give a shit. Not the kind of unit I would appreciate covering my 6!
