Norfolk, VA is no longer the home of signs that read Sailors and Dogs keep off the grass. it is Navy friendly now

Eastern Coast of NC: Morehead City / New Bern / Jacksonville, NC. The Chamber of Commerce for these cities even host a quarterly luncheon to honor/thank service members at the Service Person of the Quarter. Nominated members end up with a bag of goodies (hotel stays, coupons) and a cased US Flag (just like on deployment).

I found Tampa to be very military friendly when I was TDY there (MacDill AFB). I watched business owners thank service members for their service. I have not seen that around military bases too terribly much.
