MAJ (Join to see) - Thank you! This is very helpful. And, you raise a good point. Just because P01-18 is moving through the process faster than others doesn't mean its an acceptable amount of time that we should have to wait. Just glad to see that there is some improvement! My unit first submitted my packet OCT 2016, so, I would love to not have to do this timeline over again for MAJ. :)

MAJ (Join to see) - I vote for restoration of TIG and back pay, too, sir. :) From some discussions over on the P10-17 page, I think a both/and approach will be best, and I agree a "one voice" strategy could help us all. The lengthy delays in addition to the non-standardized process causes harm through the loss of TIG, while also arbitrarily promoting some officers over others, regardless of TIG already served and the date they entered into the FedRec process. There are also both Army (AR 600-8-29) and US (10 U.S. Code §14311(2)(d)) codes that officer promotions should not be delayed more than 6 months due to punitive actions, and I think we could make a case to have the "spirit" of this law applied to us, even though it technically refers to delays due to disciplinary actions.

Some sample language that I used in a follow up email letter to one of my senators: "I am respectfully requesting the we be allowed to apply 10 U.S. Code §14311(2)(d) to our case to have our DORs corrected, even though we are experiencing these lengthy delays through no fault of our own, are in good standing with the Army, and are not pending any disciplinary action. Additionally, soldiers who have previously applied to have their DORs corrected through the Army Board for Correction of Military Records have been advised that the Department of the Army does not have jurisdiction to change our DORs because the promotion orders for Army National Guard Officers are signed by the Office of the Secretary of Defense. I am respectfully requesting that the Secretary of the Army be notified of his authority to correct DORs for National Guard Officers in this instance through 10 U.S. Code § 741(4)(a) and 10 U.S. Code §14311(2)."

Who knows if it will work, but it makes me feel better to try. :)

MAJ (Join to see) - I have reviewed an ABCMR case where an officer attempted to obtain a correction to his DOR based on undergoing the UVP process, being removed from the same just prior to orders production to be considered by the DA Board, and the result was a "negative." In this case, however, the officer presented a correction based on the wrong premise: he asked to have his DOR corrected to the same date as the officers promoted via the UVP versus the DA Board. He should have asked for the correction based on the law stating an officer can only be considered by ONE promotion board, not two.

No update from G1 today (yet), but I will post as soon as they send out their report. I only have access to the information from a few people in my Command getting promoted, so dont have a wider view of more of the scrolls...

Nice. Keep in mind, though, that we still have to go through OSD...not quite sure how P13-17 beat us there, but just trying to be glad for movement.

We were told a group of scrolls got "lost" in the system while someone was on extended medical leave and they just found them a few months ago. I wish they would have pushed them through in order or would at least be willing to correct the DOR so that future promotions won't be affected. (But no one asks me what I think.)

I heard that the turn around to iPERMS is fairly quick. I'd recommend you forward your FEDREC order to your S1 and Commander to see how they would want to handle pinning you. I know some leadership doesn't like for individuals to self pin themselves when their orders come through.

Well for the lucky crew on 3-17 we are at day 211 as of the 26th......this is why my AUDIT-C score on my PHA is 34!!!!!!!

The order was dropped into IPERMS a couple hours ago and DOR was on the 2nd of May. It appears SFC Palmer was correct on when SECDEF approved the scroll. Congrats All!

Imagine that, the G1 portal is down. And here we sit, wondering why the FedRec process takes so long. Heck, the G1 cannot even manage something as simple as their website, yet our careers are in their hands. Incredible, simply incredible!

I don't believe NGB has a clue once it reaches SECDEF (and likely wouldn't ask). They likely wouldn't even want to trouble the Pentagon with such a trivial inquiry. This marks day 175 which equates the total number of days P01-17 spent in scroll (according to the previous forum posts). It's like holding your breath under water. We can now celebrate we went longer than the last group.

That's great news...congrats! Hopefully U01-17 is not far behind. From what I recall my scroll was about 2-3 days behind yours based on the ticker count.

I have not commented on any of the posts, but I have been reading the posts and experiencing the pain with you all. I am on P02-17 and have been patiently waiting along with the rest of you. I work as an aide for our TAG and I will say this issue has been getting A LOT of attention as of lately. I know the CNGB has been made aware in a very "blunt" way from several of the TAGs. The downside with us Guard and Reserve is that for a lot of change to happen for "us" it has to be initiated through our congressional delegates. With that being said here comes the dreaded "Write your congressman" speech. But, seriously take 20 minutes to sit down and write a letter to your governors and congressmen. Include the details good or bad of the process, the being kept in the dark about why it takes so long, families having to wait 10 plus months for a pay raise because of the process, the 13 or so offices it has to go through for whatever reason. We wonder why Soldiers leave the service bitter and upset... This process has been broken for a long time and it is even worse for you Warrant Officers out there! No one at NGB or higher is going to fix the issue themselves. They aren't on scrolls like we are so they aren't waiting to be promoted. I want to congratulate all of the ones that just had their orders published! Hopefully this process will be streamlined in the future. In the meantime we will wait and see what the tracker says tomorrow.

Good addition. That was going to be my next move was to write my congressman. If we all take the time to do that, we stand a chance at getting this fixed. Of just a few say something, nothing will happen.

The system is either down or is not being updated. Scroll 09-19 has been sitting at "80" days for three or four days now.

Scroll P11-19 just changed today from O days in cycle to, "Awaiting Dir of Mil Pers Mgmt; P11-19; 84 Days in DoD Approval cycle."

System updated: Scroll 09-19 still at OSD, but now "85 Days in Approval Cycle"

My tracker updated today as well. U06-19 is at OSD with 129 days in the approval cycle.

CW3 (Join to see) - Thanks for the response Chief. My S-1 is trying to track it as well, but they esentially told us it would take 3-6 months for it to play out, but that I wouldn't be able to track it. Just seems like its a way for them to avoid accountability on tracking it. The last update I got frm HRC was over two months ago saying it left OTJAG and was back at DMPM. Nothing shows up on the NGB fed rec portal either.

This process was supposed to be sped up, no?
