Not sure if this interests anyone, but thought I would share the event...
June 5-7 in Reading, PA.
They have restored war planes tanks, jeeps and other vehicles, and weapons. (Allied and Axis) They have WWII paratroopers demonstrators jumping this year. But the best part is, is talking to and hearing the old vets stories.
The website is kind of lame and cheesy but gives more detail. It's really a great experience. For any military history buff

INCREDIBLE event. I have been there a few times for this, and it is just amazing.
Go if you can. Take the kids.

I went last year and was blown away by how big the event is... the website really just doesnt do the event justice on how great it is. I loved that you can actually ride in some of the planes, they have a shooting range, and ride on some of the old vehicles, and watch the reenactments!

I jumped into valley forge in 1989 It was for the 82nd (ABN) associations annual get together, my all time favorite jump BTW. The old paratroopers of WWII made me feel very very humble.

I am not sure if my cousin's plane is there but his aircraft was credited with two Nazi kills. He was Major Russell H Kline and his older brother was there too. LTC Stanley D. Kline who was SQ Commander twice.
The plane was the Unadilla Killa and the Major flew this as a errr/. LT. lol
Stanley at the desk, also a pilot and Commander.

Well you are in a good area of PA. Lots around you. I grew upp in North Central, PA place called Emporium, Cameron County. Population 5800 for the County.
If you are into Air Shows I know Johnstown has a good one, just don't remember the time frame. Also if you have never been go to Hersey, PA and Hersey Park. Everyone loves Chocolate. :) If you are into history at all, there is Gettysburg just south of Harrisburg, Philly for Liberty Bell and others. Also come Sept/October there is October fests all over the place due to a lot of German ancestor.
Honestly there is lots to do, I just haven't lived there since 1992 so I am a bit rusty. But from now until September you should have some great weather coming your way to. Hope you enjoy

An example is the P-51 Mustang which changed the Air War. It had greater range than previous escort fighters and was faster than the German fighters. They killed off the German fighters to the point, they had newly minted fighters but no pilots to fly them. This allowed the US to conduct strategic bombing and conduct tactical air raids.

I hope they have the wherewithal to claim which vehicles and planes were instrumental in the Allied forces changing the war.

Nice one! Thank you! When these things were new, they were the best in the world.

In the past there was a very similar event at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre International Airport. Great walk back in time for everyone interested in aviation.
