Gas prices are much lower right now compared to last summer. AAA reports that Americans are paying $3.52 per gallon on average, more than a dollar less than this time last year. Why?

I think a big part of the reason is that with Saudi dropping production, we had stocked up enough gas to handle the expected hikes that didn't happen, so our supplies were up enough to drop prices. That and there is a different fuel mixture for summer driving anyway that costs less to produce, so it's a combination of those things.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel what goes up... must come down... just as it has ever since I've been driving.
