My facts we're already stated! You just failed to read what I wrote! And from your answer your more for the Govt then the people! And my facts stem from a level 14 need to know security clearance son!!! thats three below the president himself!!! And just an FYI since we're throwing facts around! And don't worry I won't be childish enough to down vote you because I'm sure you were an asset at one point or another in your career as were we all!! But who do you think runs BRAC!!! Which is DBA of BRAAC! To hide the real players controlling the decisions!

Here, let me show you!

The Brac you linked to is based in Bangladesh and specialized in education, It has no connection to the US or base closing, 20 seconds of research would have shown you that

Here are the the US BRAC Commissioners
http://www.brac.gov/commissioners.html

You made a nonsensical claim about Plats-burg, a thousand interceptors there would have made no difference and ranted about effects on local communities, You presented not a single fact that shows the BRAC processes has ever hurt the US

When asked to produce facts your response was a tantrum.

I would suspect C2H6O is involved though

My wife teaches at DLI. I was an Infantry Officer at Ft. Ord in the Mid 80's. I am on 3 investigative committees for the County of Monterey. I know a lot about this area. DLI does not produce directly, "in the fight" personnel, eventhough many language specialists and Foreign Area Officers will be on and in areas on the "front lines". A good example of individuals who have been at the Language center, is Medal of Honor holder, LTC Bruce Crandall, and sadly I have not seen anything referencing his being a former student in the Spanish department. (His MoH was as a helo pilot in the Ia Drang valley in 1965). For your own personal knowledge, look up the actual rents for this area. Tourism is (possibly) the greatest industry here... now take into consideration what you would pay for a two week vacation here... then multiply that 26 times... that is a more realistic cost to live here... if you have children, the price goes up depending on school district. Yes, we chose to live here.
In my (personal opinion only) all or a large percentage of DLI would be better utilized at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona. No matter how much extra military or staff are paid to be here, will not be enough.
Students couldn't ask for a better school, but... they have to be above average and this school is very demanding.

This area is truly beautiful, unfortunately, military personnel and the staff are mostly looked at as income (again, my personal and first hand onservation) of this area. The average people that live here are some of the nicest people I have ever seen, as long as taking your income is not their job.
DLI is so overcrowded, if you don't get there very early, good luck on parking. The Commanders here are doing a great job to make room for a very overcrowded, overpriced part of our military community.
