SPC Elijah J. Henry, MBA - Do you know the velocity of an M1 Sabot round without looking it up?

MAJ Ken Landgren no, I don't. And I apologize if I sounded rude. I thought we had all heard of the negligent rigging of the Humvee and the existence of airborne artillery. These (seemingly) well-known facts seemed to clearly extrapolate to paratroopers having anti-armor weapons. Rocket launchers are slightly more difficult to jump than smaller weapons, and you have to be a certain height to jump them. I've known a man to break his leg in a bad jump with a rocket launcher, although that can happen on any jump.

SPC Elijah J. Henry, MBA - I just wanted to make a point that despite 20 years in the army, I am not cognizant of all the details of the various army branches. By the about the sabot round, imagine all the kinetic energy it has as it weighs around about 20 lbs. and travels one mile per second.
