I'm not sure what to think about this. On one hand, the more weaknesses that can be found and fixed, the better off we all are, but on the other hand, you have to wonder about the initial security and even the recent bug fixes, if they can be hacked as well.

It's a GOOD thing. Just like encryption algorithms, you publish them so everybody can inspect & analyze & find the vulnerabilities... which you fix.
