Figures lie and liars figure.

I am sure that there are folks out there who could twist it anyway they wished.

There is a difference between a pay raise and a cost-of-living adjustments. The President may be adding pay adjustments for housing, health, insurance, subsistence, uniforms, and other components to a member's cost to the taxpayer. Without knowing what the President was told, no one can claim the statement was a lie.

What he proposed is on record, and since there have been pay raised every year of the period he was talking about he was simply lying.

When did that difference p between cost of living adjustments an pay raises for the military start? Is it something that starter ed with this lie? Can you find a reference to there being a difference older than this week?

I have had my salary increased in private industry, but at the same time, the cost of my benefits went up. Did I get a pay raise? No. I lost money. If my pay goes up 2%, but cost-of-living goes up 2.2%, did I get a pay raise? No. I lost money. Before claiming the President lied, prove that total compensation increased above the CPI.

The entire nation was recovering from recession hemorrhaging money in 2010, while we got a pay raise exceeding 3%. That's a pay raise.

LTJG Richard Bruce - Sir they will never understand, when you live for the hat they refuse new input, they should get together with those who hated Barry and form a bowling league and do group hug therapy out in the middle of the woods with no witnesses. .

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - 1.4 pay raise is not really a pay raise considering your hero Obama kept raising the cost of living by greater than 4% a year

SGT Jim Arnold - !,4 perevcent is only a bit lower thatn what Trump is pushing, and 1.4 Percent is a pay raise,

2008 and 2010 show BIGGER raises than what trump is pushing?
o raises only count when trump pushes them? did you look at the Numbers you posted? If so how did you miss those raises?
