On the lighter side my question is. How many "atta boy s" does it take to make up for 7 O'(S--T's) or or crap.this is 70's thing?
When you made a slight screw up you would get a aw crap, do good or really good and get a atta boy. We always say 7 to one. So make a aw crap and it hangs around a while.

The USAF must be kinder and gentler than the Marines, because It only take one aw &%^# to wipe out a thousand atta boys.

I never heard it that way. With me it was, you could have all the "Atta Boys in the world " and just one "Aw S**t " and you were screwed. Of course since I was aircrew the one Aw S**t was pretty bad

We were told one Oh S**T wiped the board clean and the atta boy count started at zero again.
