[I better copy this comment and be prepared to paste into all the other discussions that are going to be inspired by this news. You just know it's going to be a hot topic, right?]
Once upon a time there was a little boy who sat near the village flock of sheep looking for wolves... Yes, you know the story. Well, here we have a modern version. The news media, our "little boys and girls" who serve as our LPs have been crying "Wolf!" ever since Trump was elected. Every belch, every fart, every insult, real and imagined, has inspired a hue and cry. Why should we believe this one? Sorry, I don't trust their judgment, not one whit of it. We'll just have to wait and see if there really is a story here and if it really has any significance. Oh how I wish we had a reliable journalist, even one, on the job...

I know it well. So to counter that, who do you trust? If we say they're crying wolf, then who isn't that we say they're telling the truth? Manning sent classified info, there were others in the room. If one of those in the room said he wasn't doing that, would you take the word of a PFC over a more 'seasoned', 'professional' journalist?

SSG Warren Swan - Let's go one more step down that road. Let's assume that everything we've been told about the event is true. Then we come to the interpretation of events. Once upon a time, journalists only told us Who, What, When, and Where. Interpretation (analysis) was the purview of others. Sadly, the Who, What, When, and Where is now lost in a tsunami of interpretation and analysis. They don't want to tell us the news. They want to instruct us in how to feel about the news. So let's say that Trump did precisely we are told he did. They want us to believe that it was either evil or foolhardy and he should be impeached. Well, evil is highly subjective and foolhardiness is not an impeachable offense. (If it were, not many Presidents would have survived their terms in office)

The boy crying Wolf, is good, but that was my POST: The LEFT is so far gone they will exhaust every lie to act like they still exist. https://youtu.be/heasnJY8HMM?t=1

SSG Warren Swan I'm tired of all of it and have turned off the TV and all news. I'm tired of this country bashing the office of the Presidency (all past President going back to JFK included). I'm disgusted with the news, disgusted with our government and our elected officials doing nothing, I'm digusted with the American People and the protesting and bashing. I'm sure the world is getting tired of it too. They're all watching and we are making asses out of ourselves. Feed up, sorry I'll get off my soap box now - just my 2 cents!

Naw. You like everyone else has valued points Sir. We ARE making a mockery of ourselves and others ARE laughing. Protesting what ills the nation is what makes us great. People seem to forget that through blind party loyalties. But we'll turn it around. It comes in waves, we adjust fire, and move out smartly after implementing them. We've had a LOT of protests over the last 241 years and they're not going to stop. They shouldn't stop either

SSG Warren Swan - When people are getting assaulted for their political beliefs, then something should be done to stop it. Protest all you want, but when someone is assaulted, the protest loses all meaning.

Wow. Everytime the NYT or WaPi or some other form of toilet paper prints something. Someone has to post it. This is worse than a bunch of little children tattling on someone. I say all of us need to grow up and worry about what is really at the heart of it. An attempt to destroy this country from the within. As Nikita Kruschev once said, the only way to Destroy America is from within. Fake news posters beware. You are contributing to this destruction.

SSG Warren Swan - I agree but not to the point of the mockery and lawlessness we have today-demonstrators to go, financed, paid for, that my friend is bull crap.
