Glad it doesn't apply to military. But, still sucks for federal employees.
However, I am glad that it applies BOTH ways (for and against).

Me, too! Scary to issue it during a time of intense criticism. Reads more as threat than reminder.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Nicci Eisenhauer Respectfully, it’s important to look at this from a step back. Allow me to put this in perspective.
For example, there are multiple threads on RP concerning Colin Kaepernick and kneeling during the national anthem. Many rallypointers object to this behavior, and point out to the effect, “I don’t care if he protests, but don’t do it at work. Not the appropriate forum.” Fair enough.
The memo cited points out multiple times that it only applies to when federal employees are at work. It also says you can’t advocate support against impeachment. Basically, “leave the politics at home and do your job”.
Rallypointers are willing to crucify the Kaepernicks of the word for protesting at ther job. But when federal employees get the warning, “hey, leave the politics at home” (do it on your own time), people want to overreact.
Just a thought
