Jacqueem, I totally empathize with this Aboriginal story. Canada is not too much different. They did not have the big battles like the US did with Buffalo Soldiers and White US Cavalry but they did it in subtle ways. Yesterday, I may have annoyed you with the Chris Rock video and you asked me why I keep posting it. I should have told you that the White man destroyed the Native man and now has them on Reservations as part of the Cultural Genocide. boys and girls were forcibly taken from their homes and put in residential schools from 1915 to about 1985. The last residential school closed in 1997.

Natives today mostly are on welfare. Many have kids to just get more money from Welfare.
Suicides are up. My wife has gone to two funerals from cousins who were high and depressed over men issues. They have broken homes, gangs, no jobs and crabs in the bucket mentality for those who try to get ahead and Canadians think of them like Gypsies or thieves when they go into town. They get followed by store security and often get stopped by Police for driving while Native. Chris Rock video emulates the natives. Natives are the good hard working ones and the Indians are the ones who get high, have no jobs by choice or who are the ones who rob and steal from you.

Back to the Genocide from the early 1915. It became law. All kids had to go to residential school to stop TB and to take the native out of the child and westernize him. Cultural Genocide. They, the staff, forbade the natives to speak their indigenous language and forced them to learn Catholicism, Lutheran or other Christian Faith. They often raped and sexually abused them. My Wife's grandma recalls a little girl disappear and never be seen again after she peed her bed. The Canadian Government apologized and paid about $40 grand a person for each one, still alive, that filed a claim from the abuse. The funny thing is, many were traumitized and used the money for drugs and alcohol and those that did not were bothered by their adult kids and family to share the money with them so they could gamble or crack/drink/pot smoke it up. Native men and women are often promiscous. There is no father at home. Some women with 5 kids may have 5 dads and most or all do not pay child support. They listen to gangster rap or even dress likes bloods and crips. Drive by shootings and stabbings are common. Sometimes you see low rider cars playing TUPAC just as if they learned the American street culture from MTV and being in jail was an honor. Natives are 3% of the population but almost half the prison population in Canada. I know that some of them in there are not guilty.

Natives were stuck on the Reserve until 1970. If they wanted to leave to go into town they had to have a damn good reason and be escorted by an Indian Agent. Somehow, my Wife's Great Great Grandfather Corporal Henry Norwest was one of the few natives who joined the Royal Canadian Mountain Police. He was also into rodeo and he became a sinper in World War I. He killed over 115+ Germans during the war and he did not come back. It was not until recently that he was honored. Because he was native, they did not want to put his name on the WW1 memorials. This was rectified and now his name is now on two Canadian Legion Post and now his spare sniper rifle and diorama is a the Canadian Military Museum in Calgary.

My wife was in a day school in the 1980s and early 90s. She was in the class with other than Natives in Edmonton, Alberta Canada but on one side of the room. The white kids got depressed because of seeing native kids get scolded and smacked on the hand with a ruler for minor offenses in class while the white kids watched in horror since it did not happen to them.

Today, they find ways to take native kids and put them into adoption or foster care. If white kids are left unattended and running around the neighborhood, the social workers leave the parents alone, if it happens to be native, its a very good chance they are put in foster care. My wife says its a new form of cultural genocide. Its almost as if the social workers, who often can be white trash who drinks (wife looks up social workers on facebook to check this out) are hypocrites.

My Wife is sober. She stopped drinking and doing drugs when she was about 19. She was in foster care but she met a foster Dad who was a WW2 Mosquito Pilot and High School Principal with 2 Masters Degrees and a recovered Alcoholic who told her about AA and sobriety and changed her life. She had bad experiences with Native and some White guys but since I was part- Hispanic she liked me.
When She visits my Mother in Honduras, the people there think she is Hispanic. There is more Culture in Honduras and they are more Spiritual than most natives because some only go to Powows to get paid for the dancing but often many drink, smoke and do drugs. Their broken family structure are similar to what has happened to Aboriginal and African-Americans and the legacy of mental issues and addictions is about the same.

She goes to North Carolina or California and there they think she is Hispanic. Here, she is treated badly and often asked if the credit card is hers. She was hospitaliized with an brain aneurism last year and almost died. She recovered fully. When she went to out patient mental health for people with Aneuriysms the intake worker did not ask how she was feeling but instead asked her if she had a car or if she had money for the bus??? My Wife said to her she has a car and that she also has a Professional Truck Driver's License. Whites assume that Natives, even ones like her that dress properly are destitute.

The Australian Genocide of Aboriginals is so bad when they should cherish these peoples that have been there for tens of thousand or hundreds of thousands of years! I can see the high suicide rate, broken families, no jobs and Rascism. The Canadian Military forced Eskimos (Inuit) people to move out of a part of Canada after World War II and that small group is experiencing the same thing-extremely high suicide rates.

I could go on and on about this but I just wanted to know I can see how Canada and Austrialia are doing or had done Genocide.

My Wife has been insulted and called ' Squaw ' at the Edmonton Airport. She has been given dirty looks and flipped off when driving her Dodge Challenger SXT Plus by white people. She has also been criticized by her own kind for marrying outside her race and she is called an 'Apple' which is their term for meaning Red on the outside and white on the inside. She is told I am her sugardaddy. My wife is always asked to lend out money, give rides or do other favors by destitute natives who get welfare money but blow it on gambling or on drugs but who never pay her for gas money. She has had it and now we are moving soon to a new place. She is taking up my offer to get a Verizon phone with a Data plan which is about 2/3s cheaper than Canada so she can save money and avoid others of her race who can't call long distance as well as not giving out her new number.

There are a lot of great films about aboriginal and indigenous people in Australia and the surrounding areas- Rabbit Proof Fence, The Piano, and Once Were Warriors are a few that come mind.

Thanks for the article. The documentary by Pilger was tough to watch. One of the fellows mentioned was an actor and dancer who was in the film Crocodile Dundee II. I don't know if you noticed that.
