Thanks for letting us know SP5 Mark Kuzinski Hopefully this is a win-win for mothballed C-27J Spartans, which were sent to boneyard at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona, and for the USCG which "activated its first four-plane squadron of the Leonardo-Finmeccanica aircraft this month at its Sacramento Air Station in California, culminating an effort to retrieve and re-purpose the aircraft that began with the National Defense Authorization Act of 2014."

Perfect example of why Davis-Monahan exists. Always a chance someone in the government can use what has been cast off. The Coast Guard is getting a fantastic aircraft, hopefully they can get all 21 eventually. And it sounds like I'll see them doing touch and gos at MacDill in a few years.

Thank God they are using them instead of chopping them up for their aluminum.
