Once a week, I was an OIC of the medical team on the drop zones at Fort Benning. There had to be an officer there to carry the morphine in case someone needed it. Saw many things happen, to include landing in trees and the Chattahoochee River.
Had a jumper land on the hood of my M151, knock the left halve of the windshield in my nap, jump off and yell "Airborne" and run to the assembly area.

I had a friend that his first jump out of jump school just flew his canopy right off the DZ he had plenty of space, the sky was almost empty. He flew off the DZ and missed tons of trees. What is funny this guy went to MFF, then at some point tried out for Golden Knights then was one of the original members of the Black Daggers. He is a jumping beast.

The young trooper next to me on our second jump had a streamer. All the TAC NCO's were creaming to pull the reserve on the megaphones, so everyone started to reach for their reserve toggle - then they tried to correct by yelling no, not you, so the entire stick was completely confused. Charlie Foxtrot in the air - the trooper executed a perfect PLF and landed in the stream running down the middle of Fryar, and lived to tell the tale. Never knew if he was awarded wings.

With all the safeguards and precautions that are taken, and the size of Fryar DZ, I think someone will get all jammed up for this debacle, 2LTDaniel Fahey.
