SSgt (Join to see) the only sin which is unforgiveable is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit which simply stated is attributing one or more miracles of God to demonic forces.
While Jesus walked the earth two millennia or so ago this sin was committed by some of the Pharisees, Sadducees, scribes, chief priests, elders, teachers of the law.
Thanks for mentioning me SMSgt Minister Gerald A. "Doc" Thomas

SMSgt Minister Gerald A. "Doc" Thomas -
I suppose that's true, even from a non-Christian perspective. But the repent of course must be true from the heart. From an Islamic perspective all sins are forgiveable, but one must repent from the heart and pray for it.

Meaning they need to actually understand what they did was wrong, not just fear the punishment.

My own opinion is “no”. That being said only 3 people know the answer, and we won’t know the answer to the question on this side. I just saw “The Shack” last evening with my family. I believe the movie provides some insight into these kinds of questions. I know it answered a few for me.

SFC (Join to see) I liked the answer in this article - that the only unforgivable sin is to deny God in all his works, even when proof of the same lies directly before you.
Now, who is to say that when you are standing before St Peter and you relent that even this is forgiven? We will not know.

That's my point. Who knows if the most wretched person on earth asks for forgiveness a second before their death (or maybe after) that an all mercyful God doesn't forgive them.

Grieving the Holy Spirit is the way I was told, was the unforgivable sin.

SMSgt Minister Gerald A. "Doc" Thomas - Even for how poor the Shack is pertaining to our structured religion, I too didn't like most of the settings, I have to give credit where credit is due. It made a few good points. Probably the most important is the question of how can a Good God let bad things happen to innocent people.
