I don't watch it, but from the little bit I've seen it does make you think about motives and the bigger picture - something we as a country don't do very much. The article gives great examples of how someone's actions alone allude to one thing but the track record and motivation pulls it all in perspective. That includes the rape, incest, murder, etc..
I'm not sure I've seen you post something of this genre before, but I enjoy such readings. This Salon site seems interesting, too.
