False story: No one I know denies the climate is changing. As an engineer I regularly work with information that is updated periodically to account for changes. This has been going on for as long as the world has been around. What hasn’t been going around, except for lately, is this idea that man can do anything about it. It’s pretty condescending if you ask me. I can go into a lot of great detail about this, but I won’t bore you with it; people enjoy believing they can do something about it too much... especially for political purposes.

"Climate Change" (formerly "Global Warming") has become a kind of pseudo-religion & an effort by the political left to redistribute American wealth. There's no doubt the earth's climate changes but using those pig-tail light bulbs, driving electric cars & giving money to rulers of other countries won't effect that.

I don't understand this level of sticking your head in the sand thinking. Even if you don't agree that climate change is a man made and/or reversible phenomenon it's pretty ludicrous to deny that the climate is in-fact changing.

PO2 Robert Aitchison - I agree. The reason I don't believe in it is because of some of the statements made by those working on it. In 1989 I had to take some time off from truck driving, and went to work for a friend of mine who owned an auto repair business. He got a letter from the state auto bureau, that if we were going to do air conditioning work we had to be licensed(business and mechanics). The big thing then was chlorofluorocarbons(freon, hair spray propellant, etc), which turned out to be BS. Climate change is not man made.

SN Ron Jett - CFCs turned out to be BS? Are you sure about that? I would not dream of questioning your depth of scientific knowledge and vast experience in the field of environmental science, but you may be mistaken on that point.

SN Ron Jett - Actually you've lost me there. I think it's been effectively proven that CFCs were causing significant damage to the ozone layer and that was confirmed when the layer largely recovered after CFC use was all but eliminated.

PO2 Robert Aitchison - Yes, I know what was reported about cfc's. There were reports from both sides. I'm not a scientist, my science knowledge was limited to high school science(I have become a little more knowledgeable since then). It is just my opinion it was all fake and that it was what started the global warming fiasco we have today.

Yeah.....that took care of it. Just like if you pull out right in front of someone on the road, if you don't look at them, then they're not really there. Same concept.....
