SGT Gregory Lawritson Thank you for the video. It actually helped me make a decision about my claim. I am at the point that the new process might help me.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs So far the only downfall that I can see is that if you get another denial from the VA you cannot go back to the regular claim process and would have to wait to appeal the denial after this goes into law in February 2019.

https://youtu.be/uUMemL1MDa0 SGT Gregory Lawritson Shared this video which I think explains the process clearly. I think the biggest thing with this new system is, if you are like me and have had a denial recently, I will have to file a VA Form 9 and get in line for the Board of Appeals. Right now the waiting period for that is about 3 years. So I might be better off going with the new appeals process and might get a favorable decision in less time. If I get denied again, then I can't go back to the old process until after February 2019. But maybe by then there will be less claims and the process will be shorter anyway! At least that is my take on the new process. Someone correct me if I am wrong!!!
