Bank Threatens Ruger Over NRA Ties

CW5 Jack Cardwell Well, in their defense, if any organization knows about failing to "proactively adopt corporate social responsibility" it would be the banking industry. Banks may not kill, but they certainly have destroyed lives. They want to talk about hypocrisy, they are hypocrisy. I personally don't think ANY bank should be allowed to take a moral stance on any issue until ALL banks pay back the American people for the bailouts they received. Once that is done, then they can pretend to take a moral stand. Until then they need to shut up and sit in the corner until they can get their shit together.

This crap is getting ridiculous. Something needs to be done about all of these threats. Isn’t that basically extortion?

Thanks for letting us know CW5 Jack Cardwell that "Amalgamated Bank said it will pull investments from Sturm, Ruger & Company and withhold support for an board member if the gun maker fails to adopt new corporate policies and cut ties with the National Rifle Association."

It is ludicrous for any bank to tell an arms manufacturer that it should not support an organization like NRA which teaches responsible gun ownership

I will instruct my financial adviser to ensure to ensure we have no investments in Amalgamated Bank or its affiliates.
