Why not? The GOP has been engaged in their own self-destructive war for a couple decades now. The saddest part is that not even the opposing sides in each part have any common ground with each other. That is, Dem 1 can't ally with GOP 1 or 2, nor can Dem 2. It's a four-sided battle and no one is willing to compromise, not even temporarily to gain an advantage.

I agree. The problem with the GOP right now is the definition of far right vs conservative. Some say conservatives are far right while most of us think the old guard have lost their way. There is only one clear path, Constitutionalism, and if that is too far right for either the left or right, then the old guard and the extremes need to be voted out with prejudice.
