While not totally accurate, many of us spend our days picking up burdens and problems that are not ours to carry. Helping a friend doesn't mean picking up their "monkey" That only results in two exhausted, frustrated persons. Help if you can, but if you can't, leave the monkey where it belongs.
A prescription for lightening the load. For every burden you carry, find something to be grateful for. What did your burden make you grateful for?
