I read the article by your wife, Julie, Sgt Trevor Barrett. It's well written and straight from the heart. I can see why you're proud. She seems like a pretty woman, inside and out.

Your bias is well founded, Sgt Trevor Barrett! My bias for my wife is much the same. This December we’ll celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary!

I have often stated that the most ignored group of the military are the spouses who endure the trials of being a military spouse. They deserve our respect as much as the service member. Perhaps even more so.

Capt (Join to see) - I agree with you my wife is amazing for staying with me! To put it bluntly I was a jerk to her when I was transitioning... she didn't deserve that. But, she stayed with me and helped me deal with my demons anyways. Any spouse that can stick it out and help a combat vet get through their transition has my respect!
