Have a wonderful Christmas Night, my friend and sister-in-Christ Sgt Deborah Cornatzer.
Heavenly Father, thank YOU for YOUR perfect love and compassion. Before you initiated time or creation YOU planned how to reestablish relationship with YOUR human beings that YOU created in YOUR image. All-too-often we tend to wander off. Yet YOUR love constrains us and bounds us so that we don’t stray too far off the narrow path that YOU have established for eternal life.
I lift up each family of YOUR adopted children around the world. The sun never sets on the body of Christ who are from every nation, tribe, language and dialect. I pray that YOU will pour out YOUR love and compassion on each and every adopted child of YOURs.
LORD, I pray that YOU heal and restore those who have been taken from their families in Hindu and Muslim-dominated territories. Let YOUR light shine to the tormenters and draw as many of them to YOU as possible. Love in the face of hatred is the only way to reduce the fear and hatred. Give endurance to those being tormented and give them each wisdom and words to say when it comes time to speak.
LORD I lift up those service members who are deployed as well as those on duty away from their families at Christmas time. I pray that YOU will strengthen the love among the separated families and that YOU will pour out love upon young children who don’t understand and teenagers who are angry.
Help those of us who are mature in the faith to encourage those who are struggling at this point in their lives. Help all to remember that YOU are an ever-present to meet our needs and comfort us.
In the power and authority of the Name above all Names, Jesus the Christ.
