You won’t convince me that anyone in the USAF feels guilty about their relatively “luxurious” way of life, CW5 Jack Cardwell!

The quality of life has dropped abysmally... I mean, I just TDY'd and was not served breakfast in bed, nor fanned with banana leaves upon arrival. Absolute nightmare. ;) ;)

No guilt here, I don't mind comfort, not that I think I couldn't handle some hardship but if I don't have to why would I want to ? If I had to do it all over again I'd still go Air Force !

Not our fault that many picked the wrong option when deciding which service to join! :-))

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Well, you certainly did OK for yourself and I am sure you did your family proud! The Vikings would have flown, too if they had had an Air Force!

Col Carl Whicker Probably! I have to admit that my greed kept me out of the Navy. I was accepted to a NAVROC program that would have put me into Naval Aviation as an Ensign with two years time in service. Unfortunately I would have had to give up earning good money during the summers while in college so chose to stay AF.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - That is not necessarily greed. Sounds like a wise business decision, to me.

CW5 Jack Cardwell - Actually I Prefer Navy Dinning, Haven't seen that much of a Difference but then again I Served at CINCPACFLT and ate at COMSUBPAC, Adak where I got Reindeer in the Galley. Ships where I got Prime Rib, Alaskan King Crab. Navy Does Pretty Good on Chow.
