Thank you, my friend PO1 William "Chip" Nagel for posting the viewpoint of Erin Wathen who is obviously trouble by treatment of people either smuggled into this country by coyotes or who entered illegally in other ways. Thanks to DNA testing at the border some violent thugs claiming to be the parents of children they were with were denied entry. Some of the children in the camps no doubt come from being used as a pawn. Some are orphans as one or both parents died or were killed. Some were destined for the sex trafficking markets when they were picked up.

There is a lot of attention to the 'plight' of the people in the camps. A multi-billion dollar aid-package was signed into law recently by President Trump.

There is a lot of attention focused on those incarcerated in camps after entering illegally for varying reasons.
In comparison to the camps, there are many more times numbers of young people sleeping wherever they can while many are sex-trafficked, used as drug mules, street prostitutes, etc.

This occurs in all the major cities including is Congresswoman AOC's home district.
Sadly it is often easier to point a finger at a problem than to offer a reasonable solution with broad applicability.

It might behoove people to actually go see the conditions before condemning the CBP. The "concentration camps" that AOC speaks of were created by Barak Obama during his tenure. As for the deplorable conditions, you can thank the Democratic Congress for not allocating the necessary funds to provide for the "illegals" and their children.

Two things stand out. Contractors are charging $700/day/per child. The DOJ has said the government is not obligated to provide soap and toothbrushes.

When things go bad you blame the other guy. When things go well Trump will take full credit, or Trump will spew his lies.
