Words against the President, I'd never expect coming from a field grade officer, The President is right about one thing, the military can not fight the wars of every nation. Enough is enough. I have seen the effects of war on my friends and buddies in Vietnam. The difference back then, most guys didn't make if they were blown up; gunshot wounds maybe. I saw over 750 Salvadorian kids in 3 hospitals missing limbs from PVC bobby traps. I spent 5 years in Iraq as a DOD security contractor and saw enough. I see on TV all these Veterans that were blown the fuck up and in living hell. 50 SOF guys against the Turkish Army. The Turks are fighting for land! SOF fights for the President. Think about before making stunningly stupid remarks by a stunningly ignorant retired Rupert.

There are different factions of Kurd's, The group in Syria are considered a terrorist group by the UN. The Kurd's in Syria are not the same as the group in Kurdistan region of Iraq. This Kurd issue is a shit sandwich; if it looks like shit and smells like shit, you don't have to taste it to confirm its shit. People have made quick conclusion without the knowledge behind the decision. Soldiers will do what the Commander in Chief orders. SPC Angela Burnham - Let's say he does what you ask on the phone and book. What should our strategy be in Syria/Turkey? We've had national security wizards for decades that have gotten us here. Where is here? Turkey is a NATO ally, technically if the Kurds invaded Turkey we would have to support Turkey. stupid, well it is. But that is what the national security and diplomatic wizards have gotten us.

I would suggest we:

1. Remove Turkey from NATO. They really have no reason to being in the NORTH ATLANTIC TREATY ORGANIZATION.

2. Have all of these congressmen and women who are enraged about Turkey, the Kurds, Syria etc. draft a war declaration, pass it in both the house and senate and sent it to the President. The question is, who are we going to declare war on and for what reason. Ponder that for a minute or two. We need the assholes in congress on the record so they cannot cut and run later like they usually do.

3. Prepare for thousands of KIA and many thousands more WIA in the region. For what?
