One officer in the Tamir Rice shooting has been fired. This officer deserved to be fired and unfortunately he was acquitted of killing the boy. I dont know how a cop can roll up to a scene a foot away from the boy, get out of the patrol car and immediately start shooting when all reports indicated it was probably a kid with a fake gun. They could have parked across the street and taken defensive positions instead, he just ambushed this kid. Its sad.

It is easy to second guess. It was a shame it was a boy with a pellet gun. But perhaps his parents should have taken a more active roll in his life and not let him run around in the park with the pellet gun. We don't know all the facts of the story. Perhaps this park was known for gang activity, to include firearms. Perhaps it was a combination of bad choices by all involved. Who is to say what any of us would do if we rolled up to a park and saw a 'suspect' with a 'gun'... I would like to think I would assess the situation first, but I wasn't there.
