It is easy to second guess. It was a shame it was a boy with a pellet gun. But perhaps his parents should have taken a more active roll in his life and not let him run around in the park with the pellet gun. We don't know all the facts of the story. Perhaps this park was known for gang activity, to include firearms. Perhaps it was a combination of bad choices by all involved. Who is to say what any of us would do if we rolled up to a park and saw a 'suspect' with a 'gun'... I would like to think I would assess the situation first, but I wasn't there.
