I homeschooled only one of my children. She was 14 and had a seventh grade education when I adopted her. She had earned straight Fs the year before I took her in. Six years later, at age 20, she walked across the stage and picked up her Bachelors degree with honors and had been accepted into 10 different law schools. Homeschooling is not for everybody, but it sure turned her life around. It helped that I was a farmer and was in an out of the house all day long, every day.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - We did her homeschooling before our rural setting had Internet service. I took a college course at the same time as the adoption to become a state certified homeschooler. We used only college texts for her instruction. That made it so much easier for her when she started college at age 16. The funny thing about her education was that because of the screwy laws in the state of Washington at the time, she earned her AA degree two weeks before earning her high school diploma.
