I am in the Pacific Northwest right now on orders. I am sure many news outlets are not showing this speech from the police chief of Seattle. Rioters set fire to 5 construction trailers. Some businesses were damaged and a Starbucks was also put on fire.. Some officers were hurt. The Federal Officers are in the city but I have not seen any reports of clashes compared to the Civil Unrest in Portland .
We know some of the protestors are about George Floyd but other groups come in to cause trouble. Seattle is not as bad as Portland but officers are still getting hurt. 3 federal officers are blinded in Portland. The city police Chief is doing the best job she can even though her civic leaders are very weak and progressive. Most of the troublemakers are white.

but - "they are just peaceful protesters" Trying to get some bread to feed their families, the fires were started just so they can bake the bread.

SFC William Farrell - I will post picture. Bill or Will, glad you have experience. I only have been to Museums. BB Missouri, Texas, North Carolina and the Iowa last year. My only Carrier was the Yorktown from WW2 that later was used by NASA to recover Astronauts. I did go on a Destroyer Barry that was at the Washington Naval Yard. I know the Arleigh-Burke Class was featured on the movie Battleship but I know they used a WW2 Destroyer USS Kid for some scenes so I do not know what to expect. I had orders to Bremerton years ago, but they were modified and I ended up back in Long Beach.

Years ago it was a great place, not so much any more. I was born and raised in Tacoma. I went into the Navy in Jan 1966 and was gone from Tacoma until April 1977. What a change from 1977 forward and not necessarily for the good. I again left in 2013 and now reside in Texas. No more Washington State for me.
