I discovered very quickly my talking softly when stressing important points is more effective that yelling. My students when you approach them in this fashion respond better and respect you more. Yelling or shouting never comes across as reasonable approach - great way to work with the students LTC Greg Henning - thanks brother...

“The complexity of today’s decisions that individuals and leaders have to make entails using critical thinking and serious reasoning. We need more reasoning in our government and in our leaders these days. May you always have the patience and analytical ability to make reasonable and decisive decisions with logical and sensible reasoning skills; may you provide a positive reasoning behind those decisions and opinions; may you always continue to take the best possible care of your mind, body, and soul; and keep you family safe, secure, happy, and healthy during these uncertain times. May your mind always have the ability to understanding things with reason and you execute your conclusions and judgments in a positive and logical manner” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I expect the LORD has blessed you with wisdom and a great ability to reason. No doubt the LORD has used to demonstrate faith in HIM by your love for others, my brother-in-Christ LTC Greg Henning.

I hope and pray that you and I use our ability to reason for the good all our days. LORD I am grateful that YOU are transforming each daily and renewing our mind. 'Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.' [Romans 12:2 ESV]
LORD I pray YOU open the door for each of YOUR own adopted sons and daughters in these challenging times. Lead us to where we can best function and be useful. We have no need to memorize speeches since YOU always prepare us to speak and give us the words we need to speak. ‘always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.' ]1 Peter 3:15-16 ESV ]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Wednesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Thursday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ

Good “Wednesday & Hump Day” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from a now rainy day here in the Greater Boston Area where we are enjoying a temperature of 58° with 96% humidity and winds ENE 7 mph... and forecast to rain off and on through tomorrow morning... It is within "Reason" that we will only reach about 68° this afternoon... LOL!

“Reasoning Day!” Why Not?

1) "In every chain of reasoning, the evidence of the last conclusion can be no greater than that of the weakest link of the chain, whatever may be the strength of the rest." - Thomas Reid

2) "Shortly, the public will be unable to reason or think for themselves. They'll only be able to parrot the information they've been given on the previous night's news." - Zbigniew Brzezinski

3) "The duty of rhetoric is to deal with such matters as we deliberate upon without arts or systems to guide us, in the hearing of persons who cannot take in at a glance a complicated argument or follow a long chain of reasoning." - Aristotle

4) "You're neither right nor wrong because other people agree with you. You're right because your facts are right and your reasoning is right - that's the only thing that makes you right. And if your facts and reasoning are right, you don't have to worry about anybody else." - Warren Buffett

5) "Does the human being reason? No; he thinks, muses, reflects, but does not reason...that is, in the two things which are the peculiar domain of the heart, not the mind, politics and religion. He doesn't want to know the other side. He wants arguments and statistics for his own side, and nothing more." - Mark Twain

“Leaders need to understand and grasp the complexity of the decisions they’re faced with by making them with strong thinking and reasoning skills, within the time constraints afforded based on OPTEMPO.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I have seen this quote many times and when one really thinks about it, it is extremely "reasonable" and it is Spot-On... Good one, CSM Chuck Stafford!
