Good “Thursday” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from what looks to be another nice day in paradise! LOL! Current temperature of 68° and headed up to about 82° this afternoon... I am working my IT shift today, so more off than on, but thought I would at least start my response... It is one of those "little moments" when I made a quick decision... LOL! Have a great Day, Mikel...

“Little Moments Day!” Why Not? - MORE TO FOLLOW -

1) "We keep passing unseen through little moments of other people's lives." - Robert M. Pirsig

2) "Savor the little moments, son, that's my advice. They're what life is. All the little things that happen while you're waiting for something else." - Joe Abercrombie

3) "Every thing that grows / Holds in perfection but a little moment." - William Shakespeare

4) "Gentlemen, in the little moment that remains to us between the crisis and the catastrophe, we may as well drink a glass of Champagne." - Paul Claudel

5) "Education should try to lessen the obstacles, diminish the friction, invigorate the energy, and should train minds to react, not at haphazard, but by choice, on the lines of force that attract their world. What one knows is, in youth, of little moment; they know enough who know how to learn." - Henry Adams

And least you forget...

“Every little moment you’re here on this earth can be walk in the park, a conversation with a good friend, time alone with your family, or just a smile on your face after helping someone in need. You can make those little moments.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Sgt (Join to see) - I love to do all of those things in your first quote and MEME Kerry and I'm sure you do as well and if the weather cooperates, maybe you and the wife can take that walk today my friend...

“We can really cherish those little moments in life when they make us happy, but even some of the ones that aren’t as happy will have a meaning and lesson behind them. Don’t wait around for the big moments, take advantage of those peaceful days where nothing is going on, or that day your spending time with the wife and there are no commitments or places to be. Spending time with a grandchild when you know at the end of the day they're going home to Mom and Dad. ‘Today’s little moments become tomorrow’s precious memories.’ — unknown Author. May all of your little moments be the ones you hold dear in your heart and mind; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Start making some new little memories today.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I hope you recognize that you and live in the present all of our lives while the LORD is aware of all of time and existence for all of creation including you and I and those we love. I expect you appreciate the love of God and the fact that HE cares for each of us. HE knows the stress we are under and is our source of peace. 'Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.' [1st Peter 5: 6-7 ESV] my brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see).

I lift each of YOUR adopted children who are suffering from dementia, PTSD, severe confusion, and debilitating mental illness, their family members and those who care for and treat them to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU bless the family members with peace and understanding that love is there even when their loved one has no idea who they are or is oblivious to our presence. 'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.' [John 14:27 ESV].
I pray that each one of us never takes for granted the love of God and that we demonstrate our love for HIM by loving and respecting each person who we interact with or crosses our path. Help us to treasure moments together with loved ones and empower each of us to recall the many precious moments that YOU enable each one of us to enjoy. 'Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.’ [Hebrews 13:1-2 ESV]
I pray for husbands and wives who are brother and sister-in-Christ. LORD enable the fire of love to warm our heart and soul. Enable each of us to recall wonderful moments in our relationship with YOU and our spouse all the days of our lives. ‘Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.’ [1 Corinthians 13:4-7 ESV]
I pray for the unjustly imprisoned, the victims of sex traffickers, those abused by social networks and news gatekeepers. LORD I pray that YOU deliver as many captives as YOU are willing as quickly as possible. ‘Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.’ [Hebrews 1:3 ESV] and ‘In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me, and save me! Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; you have given the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.’ [Psalm 71:2-3 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Thursday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Friday morning.

Good Morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs . If we close our eyes to the little moments, we miss all the love and kindness, the constant greatness of God's work, that happens every moment of our lives. Open your eyes and ears, listen and see...

It is the little things that make it all worthwhile, sir. This topic jives with what I was thinking about just a few minutes ago. Yesterday's mail included the current issues of Gundog, Astronomy, and Backwoods Home. We are yet again pretty much ice bound today, but I have the great good fortune to read all three. A little thing, but a very nice one. Face it, some of us just live right.

Hope you are living right, too, today, RallyPoint.
