Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

I know it's hard taking advice from someone whose middle name is Waldo, but Emerson was on to something, there. Take it easy on this fine Sunday, RallyPoint.

I hope you are spiritually mature enough to pay attention to the prompting and guidance of the Holy Spirit and are quick in responding to HIM. I expect you comprehend that the LORD cares for you and those you and I love infinitely more than we do. 'Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.' [1st Peter 5: 6-7 ESV] my brother-in-Christ 1SG Steven Imerman.

I lift those being cared for and treated in hospitals, at home and in hospice care along with their family members and the doctors, nurses, technicians to YOU including YOUR adopted son SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL, his wife and family. I pray that YOU guide the mind, hands, and feet of each person caring for, treating, operating on, and helping the recovery of the patients under their care. ‘For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.’ Jeremiah 29:11-13 ESV]
I pray for those recently unemployed/terminated from employment, those recently evicted, the long term homeless including disabled veterans, police, firefighters and others who have risked their lives to help others. LORD I pray that YOU bless each one with a large measure of hope and that YOU motivate good Samaritans to encourage others to donate time, talents and resources to aid those people especially those with small children at home. ‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’ [Philippians 4:6-7 ESV]
I pray for widows, widowers, orphans especially those who recently had their spouse and/or parent die. LORD YOU know the grief each one is going through. YOUR compassion in grief is welcome Holy Spirit. I pray that YOU punctuate grief with outbursts of joy for each one. ‘And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.’ [Romans 8:27-28 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Sunday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Monday morning.

Good “Sunday” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse,” and all great connections. Welcome from the “Eagle’s Nest” on the road in Tucson, AZ! — 21 February 2021!

It is “Self-Care Day!” what are you doing for your own care?

"By surviving passages of doubt and depression on the vocational journey, I have become clear about at least one thing: self-care is never a selfish act -- it is simply good stewardship of the only gift I have, the gift I was put on earth to offer to others. Anytime we can listen to true self and give it the care it requires, we do so not only for ourselves but for the many others whose lives we touch." - Parker J. Palmer

And to everyone, please remember that...

“When you are pushing the envelope daily and working around the clock, leaders can reach burn out. They need to stop and refuel themselves with self-care before they can push forward again!" — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
