I will wait at least six months for them to identify and fix the problems they have with EVERY release.

Since it can't be installed on my desktop I'll wait until they start offering compatible ones with Windows 11.

No need to wait. Usually every update is released because there are security flaws that have been identified, and until you update, you will susceptible to hacking! So, before you run an update, create a "Restore Point" on your Windows PC and if something goes wrong with the update, then you can quickly Restore to the last know good. Happy Computing!

SGT James Murphy - Well, it's not Microsoft that is doing wrong here, it's working within the legal limits of privacy as dictated by our Congress, or in this case, not dictated. Attempts to improve consumer privacy protections in the US in the wake of the May–July 2017 Equifax data breach, which affected 145.5 million US consumers, failed to pass in Congress. A thorough search can show you what little has actually been done to protect privacy and allow Capitalism to rain supreme.

Sometimes the upgrades don't work as well as what You have, I'm not going to rush into it until I'm sure from others experience and what i hear if its ok.

Wait until Windows12. 11 will most likely be a dumpster fire.

Sgt John Steinmeier - It seems in that past that has also been the case, sounds like good advice based on what I'd seen before.
