PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Another viewpoint.
Blessed: A History of the American Prosperity Gospel by Kate Bowler
"Millions of Americans believe God wants them to be healthy and wealthy.
I spent a decade traveling the United States and Canada visiting megachurches, archives, television studios, and revivals interviewing leaders and followers to understand the history of the “prosperity gospel.”
This book is the first comprehensive American history of one of the most popular Christian movements in the world today. Introducing readers to its most famous faces—celebrities like Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, T.D. Jakes, and Paula White—this book gives an intellectual framework for understanding the theology and everyday lives of people who tune in to hear its familiar message: God desires to bless you."

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - Had to research it of course...lol. This doesn't fit in with my beliefs... but to each his own. Regarding American Prosperity Gospel... I'm living proof that Tithing 10% is right for me. It's been my experience that you can't outgive God.
What are the major beliefs of Calvinism?
"Calvinism believes that once people have been saved by God, those people cannot lose their salvation through any act of their own. This belief is based on a belief in the complete sovereignty of God. If God has chosen something or someone, no mere mortal has the power to thwart that choice."

SPC Nancy Greene While I Hold No Degrees in Religion or Theology, My Heritage, Family History, Makes Religious History Very Important to Me. Scottish (Protestants, Catholics, Calvinist) Prussian (Protestant/Lutheran) Bavarian (Defenders of the Catholic Faith) Lietz (German Jews) Deveraux, Throckmorton (French Speaking, Catholic Tudors). Ever Wonder about the Name "Maryland" Land of the Queen of Saints? Maybe because the Early Settlers were British Catholics Escaping the Protestant Reformation by Henry Tudor VIII, Edward VI, Elizabeth I?
