US and Canadian warships sail through Taiwan Strait after Biden vows to defend island

Like it or not, we are in another cold war. This is the going on for a few years now. Communist China keeps threatening the peaceful democratic island of Taiwan. The US Navy conducts with the Canadian Navy freedom of navigation of the Taiwan Straits.

Unfortunately, our American President cares more about Global Warming which morphed into climate change and some alarmists call it climate emergency but they don't take into consideration saber rattling by China against if Taiwan is invaded the US May respond), North Korea against South Korea and the Americans, and the threat that Iran will nuke Israel. We already have the war in Ukraine that the Russians are losing and who knows they could go nuclear because they are short of troops and that's all they have left to threaten Ukraine and NATO with.

Also even Vietnam has been building up their Navy including the addition of Submarines and See China as the main threat to them. After the US had pulled out of Vietnam after the war China actually had invaded Vietnam during late 1978 into early 1979 and Vietnam destroyed over 450 of the 800 tanks China went in with and also the Vietnamese killed 35,000 Chinese soldiers and drove them out of their country. This defeat the Chinese by Vietnam was done inside of 4 months. Amazing our media ignored that fact though. Many of the nations in that area including Taiwan, South Korea and Japan see China as the major threat to their countries.

You are correct. It is another Cold War. And just like the one with Russia has politicians who put our enemy's goals ahead of our country's.
